Job summary

RavenVolt is seeking experienced Field Service Technicians to install, commission, test, repair, and maintain Microgrid Switchgear and Control Systems. The role emphasizes independent field work, safety, and quality in a fast-growing microgrid market across the United States.

Requirements include 5+ years with diesel/natural gas gensets, 50–70% travel, and strong English communication. EGSA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial/industrial experience with diesel and/or natural gas generators, paralleling switchgear and controllers.
Ability to travel 50–70% overnight, Monday through Friday (minimal weekend travel).
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook email and calendars.
OEM training, manufacturer certifications, and/or EGSA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections, field start-ups, commissioning, system modifications, preventative maintenance, and operator training.
Document all site visits, including signoffs, trip reports, and software/firmware versions.
Verify operation of PLCs, HMIs, metering, relays, breakers, and related equipment per contract documents.
Coordinate with third-party vendors to verify generator, BESS, solar, ATSs, and connected devices.
Maintain detailed records and ensure safety procedures and industry standards are followed.
