Job summary

Keysight Technologies is seeking a senior process engineer to lead microcircuit assembly development, solving complex manufacturing challenges and driving New Product Introduction from concept to production. You will collaborate across materials, mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams and mentor junior engineers while shaping the department's roadmap and ensuring production readiness.

The role requires hands-on lab work, DOE and FMEA experience, and ITAR clearance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related engineering field preferred; Bachelor's considered with extensive experience.
• 8+ years hands-on experience in microelectronics / microcircuit assembly / semiconductor packaging.
• Experience leading process development projects and/or serving as the technical point of contact on NPI programs.
• Hands-on depth in one or more: epoxy dispensing, wire bonding, ball bonding, gold stud bump, flip chip bonding, automatic placement, silver sintering, or soldering.
• Proven DOE, statistical analysis, and root cause methodologies to resolve complex issues.
• Experience leading DFM reviews and formal risk assessments (FMEA).
• Strong written and verbal communication, presenting technical recommendations to management.
• ITAR clearance (U.S. person status) required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME and technical lead for microcircuit assembly processes across multiple techniques.
• Lead NPI programs, representing process engineering in design and program reviews.
• Lead DFM reviews and risk assessments for new products and process changes.
• Advise R&D and design teams on manufacturability and constraints.
• Make strategic technical decisions affecting build schedule, capacity, and readiness.
• Lead end-to-end process development projects and qualification of new equipment.
• Mentor junior/mid-level engineers and document engineering reports and specs.
