Job summary

Pyramid Pharma Services, Inc. in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a QC Microbiology Supervisor to lead daily operations of the Quality Control Microbiology lab. You will supervise Associates and Specialists, review testing, and drive data analysis, trend identification, and CAPA programs to ensure cGMP compliance and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of GMP/pharmaceutical experience; sterile/aseptic environment preferred.
• Strong leadership and team coaching abilities.
• Proficient in documentation and CAPA/Deviations management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily QC microbiology operations and staff.
• Review and approve microbiology test results (bioburden, sterility).
• Plan and implement CAPAs and change controls.
• Lead investigations into excursions with root-cause analysis.
• Develop and monitor environmental monitoring programs.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, GMP standards.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, and QA for continuous improvement.
• Prepare and review technical protocols and reports.
