Job summary

Eagle Analytical in Florida is seeking an experienced Microbiologist II to perform advanced microbiological testing in a cleanroom, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and SOPs. You will handle end-to-end testing, data evaluation, and documentation review while serving as a technical resource for the team.

The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s with strong microbiology knowledge, experience with sterility and endotoxin testing, and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Biology or related field.
• Bachelor’s or higher in Microbiology or related field.
• Master’s or higher in Biology or related field.
• Master’s or higher in Microbiology or related field.
• Master’s or higher in Microbiology and Molecular Cell Sciences or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced microbiological testing (sterility, endotoxin, particulates) in a cleanroom.
• Develop plans to ensure timely sample collection and testing; reconcile samples after incubation.
• Maintain chain of custody; manage aliquoting, storage, receipt and shipping of samples.
• Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction programs; support cross-functional projects.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to meet deadlines.
• Troubleshoot laboratory procedures and cleanroom operations; report calibration failures or repairs.
• Adhere to SOPs and regulatory standards (ISO 17025, cGMP, cGLP, A2LA); ensure SOP accuracy.
• Draft and review SOPs; communicate results clearly in written and verbal form.
• Stay current with technology and instruments in microbiology; support cross-technology education.
• Assist with special projects for pharmaceutical and biotech clients; contribute solutions.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members; ensure competency and compliance.
• Communicate effectively across QA, Client Care, and other teams for smooth workflow.
