Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking an ultrasound technologist specializing in perinatal diagnostics. The role involves performing high-quality ultrasound imaging, explaining procedures to patients, and ensuring their comfort and safety during examinations.

You will participate in teaching opportunities and maintain accurate documentation and billing. The ideal candidate has RDMS and relevant perinatal experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher; Baccalaureate preferred.
• Successful completion of an accredited ultrasound program.
• RDMS and CPR certification required; OB, Nuchal and Fetal Echo certifications preferred or required as stated.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality and efficient ultrasound imaging in order to assist with a patient's diagnostic work-up.
• Performs quality and empathetic patient care to ensure patient cooperation, safety and satisfaction.
• Completes charges for examinations accurately to ensure proper billing.
• Participates in teaching opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.
• Follows safety precautions and maintains a safe environment.
• Interacts with patients and families to provide information about the sonogram content.
