Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health’s Bridgeport Hospital seeks an ultrasound technologist to perform high-quality imaging for diagnostic workups and to provide patient-centered care on-site in Bridgeport, CT. Requirements include ARDMS registration in OB/GYN, RDMS certification within one year of hire, and an Associates degree or 10+ years in perinatal imaging.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree and/or education required to obtain RDMS certification, or 10+ years experience specifically in perinatal imaging.
• One year practical experience in Ultrasound or related field.
• Requires ARDMS registration in OB/GYN; must obtain RDMS & RDMS OB certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality and efficient ultrasound imaging to assist with a patient's diagnostic workup.
• Provides quality and compassionate patient care; explains procedures and ensures comfort.
• Maintains accurate charges for examinations and supports department operations.
• Participates in teaching opportunities to expand knowledge among staff and students.
• Follows safety precautions to ensure a safe environment.
• Upholds professional standards and courteous interactions with patients and staff.
