General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) seeks a Principal Manufacturing Engineer to plan, design, and optimize manufacturing facilities and related structures. The role determines facility specifications, analyzes resources, and evaluates production improvements for efficient operations.

The position requires 8–10 years of experience in engineering with an associate degree and a strong background in manufacturing methods, GD&T and CAD/CAE tools, plus readiness to travel up to 25%

Formación

• Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience.
• Engineering degree required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsabilidades

• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods and processes.
• Analyzes workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow to optimize layout.
• Determines parts, equipment, tools, and processes to meet product specs.
• Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and costs for management decisions.
• Communicates capabilities, production schedules, and information to support production.
• Interacts with vendors to determine specifications and procure equipment/materials.
• Evaluates products against specifications and quality standards.
