Job summary

Emergent BioSolutions is seeking a Sr. Metrology Technician in Michigan to calibrate and maintain instruments used in pharma/biopharma labs. You will plan, document in SAP per GDP, and ensure calibration traceability within cGMP standards.

You will lead, train and assist cross‑functional teams on complex repairs, perform preventive maintenance, respond to emergencies, and contribute to continuous improvement in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of maintenance experience.
• 2-year trades vocational certification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of metrology/calibrations and lab support equipment.

Responsibilities

• Takes initiative and works independently on complex assignments.
• Act as facilitator, trainer and team leader on repairs and projects.
• Provide technical and mechanical support on GMP and Non-GMP utility systems.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Execute work orders and document work in SAP per GDP.
• Maintain calibration traceability and cGMP documentation.
• Respond to emergencies and be on-call per schedule.
• Support other maintenance disciplines and maintain professional relations.
