Job summary

Divergent in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Metrology & Inspection Specialist to lead inspection strategy across advanced manufacturing, applying GD&T to complex parts and programs. You will influence standards, guide first article, in-process, and final inspections, and mentor a cross-functional team of inspectors and engineers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in high-precision manufacturing (aerospace/defense/auto).
• Mastery of GD&T and real-world inspection applications.
• Proven ability to mentor teams and influence processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced inspections on complex components using metrology tools.
• Develop robust inspection strategies for first article, in-process, and final checks.
• Lead root cause analyses and CAPAs in quality systems.
• Coach inspectors and engineers in GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Author/update SOPs with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering.
