Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Technician/Engineer to maintain, calibrate and qualify routine and advanced laboratory instruments in a regulated environment.

You will ensure compliance with quality systems, provide guidance to technical staff, and drive process improvements while maintaining instruments in a validated state and completing preventive maintenance and validations as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical science, engineering, or IT.
• 8 years GxP, laboratory, and/or instrument maintenance and repair experience.
• Experience documenting instrument troubleshooting and validations.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, calibration, and/or qualification of laboratory instrumentation per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain compliance of quality systems and laboratory instrumentation.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of laboratory instrumentation.
• Provide guidance and training to technical personnel.
• Ensure instruments are maintained in a validated state and that maintenance/validation is documented.

Job Description

• Perform maintenance, calibration, and/or qualification of routine and advanced laboratory instrumentation in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain compliance of quality systems and laboratory instrumentation.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of laboratory instrumentation.
• Implement/validate routine instrumentation and assist with research/implementation/validation of advanced instrumentation.
• Provide oversight, guidance, and training to technical personnel.
• Maintain routine instruments in a validated state at all times. Perform assessment, trouble-shooting, repair. Ensure completion of preventative maintenance, routine testing, and assigned validation testing.
• Compliance - Ensure all activities are completed on time, accurately documented, and in compliance with existing quality systems. Ensure that the quality policy program is understood, implemented and maintained at all times.
• Productivity - Organize schedule in a manner such that higher priority projects and tasks are completed in a timely manner. Ensure completion of all assigned tasks according to company and department stated TAT's.
• Innovation - Active involvement with process improvement initiatives
• Teamwork - Foster teamwork internally and with technical groups to increase overall quality. Take responsibility for group success by assisting and supporting team members.
• Training - Provide guidance and coaching within a team environment

Qualifications

• ISO 17025 Calibration and Measurement of Uncertainty experience

Basic Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical science, engineering, or information technology
• 8 years GxP, laboratory, and/or instrument maintenance and repair experience
• A combination of college and related technical experience will be considered (e.g. 12+ years experience)
• Experience performing and documenting instrument trouble shooting, non-routine events, and/or validations
• Experience writing technical documents (e.g. procedures, investigations)
• Experience developing instrument validation deliverables (e.g. protocols, test scripts) within a GXP environment
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, Pennsylvania are encouraged to apply.
