Job summary

Jabil Lead Metrologist in a medical device manufacturing environment will lead calibration activities for IM&TE and process equipment, serving as SME for metrology methodologies.

You will develop, validate, and perform calibrations, coordinate with production and QA, maintain records per FDA/ISO, and train technicians in metrology principles to improve calibration efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Physics or Engineering Degree in related field and 2+ years in accredited calibration laboratory.
• Military technical degree in Metrology (PMEL/TMDE) is a plus.
• Experience with ISO 17025 and measurement uncertainty.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T drawings and calibration equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and perform calibrations, qualifications, maintenance, modifications, and testing of IM&TE and process control/manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct uncertainty analyses and test uncertainties calculations.
• Complete gauge requests for standard and custom gauges.
• Manage inventories of replacements and spare gauges.
• Maintain records per FDA/ISO regulations and procedures.
• Coordinate calibration activities with production, QA, vendors, and other facilities.
• Interact with calibration customers internal and external to resolve tasks.
