Job summary

Valeo in Seymour, IN is seeking a Senior Methods Engineer to develop and design automotive lighting assembly equipment and to prepare production processes for lighting products, new and modified. You will minimize costs, meet timeframes and quality targets while mentoring junior engineers.

Travel up to 20% internationally as part of a global team, contributing to innovative mobility solutions and sustainable manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or closely-related (required).
• 4+ years in a Methods/Process Engineering role for automotive lighting designing automated assembly equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop & design automotive lighting assembly equipment.
• Prepare & implement production processes for automotive lighting products (new & modified).
• Minimize costs & adhere to budgets; ensure timeframes are achieved; attain quality objectives.
• Mentor junior Methods Engineers.
• Travel up to 20% internationally.

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or closely-related & 4 yrs experience in a Methods or Process Engineering role for automotive lighting designing automated assembly equipment; developing engineering processes for automotive lightning; setting up & tuning photometric aiming, plastic welding technologies & gluing equipment; developing equipment from specifications to industrialization & validation; and using CAD & GD&T. 20% international travel req’d.
