Job summary

Boston Scientific Arden Hills seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer III – Metals to lead supplier audits, improve metal component quality, and collaborate with global sourcing and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with quality systems.

You will develop acceptance criteria, drive CAPAs, and support supplier qualifications and corrective actions with cross‑functional teams, including regulatory compliance considerations. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or similar field with minimum 4 years of relevant quality engineering experience.
• Experience in metal manufacturing, precision machining, tubing, metal stamping/forming, or similar.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 9001), regulatory compliance, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Plans and leads audits of suppliers to assess compliance with regulatory and Boston Scientific requirements, including audit scheduling, investigation, and evaluation of audit observations and findings, reporting, follow-up actions.
• Develops solutions to complex problems with data analysis, exercises judgment within defined practices, investigates field failures related to supplier materials and develops corrective action plans.
• Assess & drive reactive and proactive supplier projects/investigations with cross‑functional teams.
• Actively engaging in Global Sourcing category teams as a technical lead and executing category objectives.
• Leads cross‑divisional projects delivering improvements to quality systems and processes.
• Supports establishing policies and procedures; works under general direction and may represent a field in larger projects.
• Builds relationships with suppliers and internal teams to achieve project goals and quality targets.
• Maintains commitment to patient safety and product quality per Quality Policy.
