Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Minnesota to oversee supplier quality in acquired entity integration. You will evaluate issues, lead supplier audits, and drive corrective actions while coordinating with Quality, Operations, R&D and Sourcing.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in engineering with 2+ years in a regulated field, have strong project management skills, and can navigate PLM/ERP systems. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or technical field with minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in medical device, automotive, aeronautical, semiconductor, or other regulated industry.
• Project management: ability to influence cross functional global teams spanning Quality, Operations, R&D, and Sourcing.
• Experience in process validation, design controls, risk management, CAPA, SCAR.
• Ability to work independently; organized and self-driven.
• Articulate communicator; adept at packaging and scaling information for audiences.
• Ability to rapidly learn and use new software applications (e.g., PLM, ERP).
• Domestic and international travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and communicates quality issues to suppliers and applies problem-solving methods.
• Manages sustaining quality issues and design change implementations for suppliers.
• Proactively assesses supplier capabilities via on-site visits and technical discussions.
• Plans and leads supplier audits to assess regulatory compliance and requirements.
• Supports Design QA with Field Action and Product Inquiry investigations.
• Investigates complaints and manages SCARs/NCEPs at component suppliers.
• Supports Change Impact Assessments for supplier processes.
• Leads projects with clear plans and contingency strategies.
