Job summary

Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. (SI) in Austin, Texas seeks a Metallurgical Engineering Consultant to provide metallurgical analysis and failure analysis services at our Material Science Center. This is a laboratory-based position with occasional field support and potential for advancement into management responsibilities.

Requirements include a B.S. in metallurgy or materials engineering and 15 years of related experience. A PE license or path toward licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in metallurgy or materials engineering.
• 15 years of experience related to metallurgical failure analysis consulting services.
• PE license or identified path toward PE licensure.

Responsibilities

• Review failed or damaged metal components and project needs.
• Develop proposals for condition assessment or failure analysis services.
• Manage metallurgical laboratory projects and report findings and recommendations.
• Provide materials support to SI’s teams and address nuclear, fossil, and renewable energy clients.
