Job summary

ManpowerGroup, through its Experis client engagement, seeks a Metallurgical Engineer (Heat Treat Specialist) in Auburn Hills, MI to serve as North America heat treatment SME. You will collaborate with engineering, supplier quality, and manufacturing to develop robust material and process solutions and drive enterprise capability.

Responsibilities include leading failure investigations, root cause analysis, and closure of corrective actions, with focus on product reliability and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years in a heat-treat engineering role.
• Broad technical expertise across carburizing, carbonitriding, induction, quenching, tempering, solution heat treatment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as NA heat treatment subject matter expert for engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing and suppliers.
• Lead metallurgical failure investigations with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Advance product reliability via materials engineering, heat treat science and process optimization.
• Develop harmonized procedures, specs, and standards with global teams.
• Support warranty reduction through forensic analysis and containment recommendations.
