Qualifications

• 8+ years experience gathering business requirements and translating metadata acquisitions into actionable access paths for glossaries.
• 8+ years experience explaining technical findings to end-users and leadership.
• 8+ years in a complex data analysis, senior business/systems analyst, or data liaison role.
• 8+ years experience with SQL for data extraction, manipulation and enrichment.
• 8+ years experience collaborating with end-users and IT leaders to create and validate glossaries for analytics.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• 5+ years experience with BI/Data Warehouse (preferred).
• 5+ years experience acting as primary contact for program staff with metadata needs (preferred).
• 5+ years experience in health and human services or regulated environments (preferred).
• 5+ years experience with data governance and data quality principles (preferred).
• 2+ years experience championing data literacy (preferred).
• 1+ year experience with AI prompt development (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Strategic Liaison between program areas, sponsors, and system SMEs to connect glossary/cataloging to source IT systems.
• Automate regular collection and updates to agency metadata for high value data assets.
• Explain technical findings and data limitations in non-technical language to end-users.
• Extract, integrate, and analyze metadata from multiple sources to support program needs.
• Create visualizations for enrichment progress and official reporting with stakeholders.
• Provide SME on validating AI outputs, mitigating hallucinations, and ensuring compliance with data standards.
• Develop and deliver training to non-technical staff on glossary tools and data synthesis.
