Job summary

AbbVie Inc. seeks a Senior Business Systems Validation Engineer to join AbbVie Cork.

The role focuses on validation and technical support for manufacturing business systems, especially MES support for SAP and POMSnet, and leads validation activities for implementing these systems within the manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will support new technology introduction, process improvements, GMP compliance, and troubleshooting throughout the product lifecycle, while ensuring cGMP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline
• 5–10 years’ experience in MES/automation systems validation or manufacturing support in pharma/GMP environments
• Experience with laboratory/manufacturing equipment validation and computer system validation (GAMP 5, EU Annex 15)

Responsibilities

• Validate and support MES systems (EBR, SAP) and POMSnet in manufacturing
• Lead validation activities for system implementations in manufacturing environments
• Maintain data integrity and security risk assessments; support legacy remediation
• Support product lifecycle activities, SOP updates, investigations, and batch record updates
• Assist with new product introductions, equipment selection, validation, and training
• Provide validation guidance for automation and business systems changes; perform protocol writing and execution
