Job summary

Lilly in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced MES Engineer to lead DeltaV MES implementation, validation, and startup for a new API manufacturing site. You will design, configure, and support MES workflows, electronic batch records, and interfaces across Operations, Quality, and IT to ensure compliant, reliable manufacturing processes.

You will partner with site teams to drive readiness activities, validate MES capabilities, and support go-live with strong cross-functional collaboration,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years with MES system design, implementation, and validation.
• 3+ years in regulated pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environments.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site teams to gather requirements and author/validate electronic batch records.
• Support MES startup activities including configuration of recipes and workflows.
• Configure electronic logbooks and Weigh & Dispense interfaces.
• Integrate MES with ERP, Historian, DCS, and equipment via Edge tech.
• Conduct site testing and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) to ensure readiness.
• Generate CSV documentation for validation deliverables.
• Troubleshoot MES issues with cross-functional teams.
• Support go-live and hypercare activities.
• Ensure compliance with GSOPs, CSV standards, and 21 CFR Part 11.
