Job summary

RELEX Solutions in the United States seeks a Senior Merchandising Consultant to drive category management implementations and ongoing service delivery across client engagements. You will configure the platform end to end and apply merchandising judgment to real business problems, guiding customers from discovery through go-live.

You will lead workshops, share best practices, and enable change management while leveraging AI-assisted tooling to deliver fast, measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on experience in category management, merchandising, space planning, pricing, promotions at a retailer or supplier.
• Practical understanding of how category management decisions get made and the tradeoffs involved.
• Experience leading customer-facing engagements, in consulting, implementation, or as an internal programme lead.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving instincts with large datasets to derive value.
• Ability to translate a customer’s strategy into a software configuration that supports it.
• Willingness to use AI-assisted tooling to build things faster.
• Comfort leading people through change and working across functions.
• Fluent English and Italian; willingness to travel up to ~25%.

Responsibilities

• Work on customer engagements across one or more category management solutions from discovery through go-live.
• Contribute to discovery and process design workshops with customer teams and ensure the right stakeholders are involved.
• Bring industry best practice into engagements and design future-state processes.
• Support change management to avoid poor processes or unwanted downstream effects.
• Configure the platform to fit the customer’s strategy with guidance from seniors and back-end support.
• Build, test, and validate configurations; support User Acceptance Testing.
• Use AI-assisted tooling to build configurations, dashboards, and lightweight automations.
• Establish KPI baselines and measurement frameworks before go-live; deliver analytics and insights.
• Support training and user adoption to ensure system usage.
• Build relationships with operational teams and senior stakeholders across the business.
• Contribute to pre-sales activities: demos, RFI responses, ROI analysis.
