Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior Manager for Retail Merchandising & Planning to lead transformation engagements for retail clients in the United States. You will shape strategy, drive execution, and activate measurable results with client executives and Accenture leadership.

You will oversee large programs across merchandising strategy, planning processes, data/ technology, and change management, ensuring value is realized and adoption is high. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience with demonstrated expertise in merchandising/ planning.
• Minimum of 2 years in professional services at a consulting firm (or equivalent internal consulting experience)
• Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

• Lead large, transformational programs with multiple workstreams and stakeholders
• Orchestrate delivery across cross-functional teams spanning strategy, process, data / technology, and change management
• Own client relationships, including executive sponsors, and manage alignment across disparate points of view
• Ensure engagement quality, timeliness, and profitability
• Lead assessments of current-state merchandising, planning, and inventory management capabilities
• Design future-state operating models spanning category management, merchandise financial planning, and assortment planning
• Develop capability roadmaps, transformation roadmaps, and value cases
• Apply sub-industry nuance across apparel, hardlines, and/or grocery to tailor recommendations
