Job summary

The North Face seeks a Senior Merchandising Manager for Performance Footwear to shape the long-term category strategy across Trail Running, Hiking and Mountaineering. You will lead cross-functional teams, translating insights into actionable product roadmaps and ensuring alignment with brand and business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising or equivalent.
• 8+ years in merchandising or product-related roles, footwear preferred.
• Experience leading technical footwear categories.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end product creation and go-to-market execution.
• Proven success growing category strategies, assortments and profitability.
• Excellent communication and leadership across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Shape long-term vision and strategy for Performance Footwear, driving consumer relevance and growth.
• Lead category analyses to identify opportunities and translate insights into product strategies.
• Partner with Brand Innovation, Design, and Development to influence pipelines and direction.
• Own product strategy and execution for Trail Running, Hiking, and Mountaineering footwear.
• Oversee seasonal briefs with positioning, pricing and assortment guidance.
• Lead cross-functional pods and drive decisions across development and factory visits.
• Deliver category financial targets including margins and productivity.
• Align global assortment plans with regional objectives and GTM milestones.
• Develop differentiated assortment strategies across geographies and channels.
• Collaborate with Planning, Marketing, Sales and Sourcing to bring vision to life across channels.
• Present category vision and plans to senior leadership and external partners.
• Develop and mentor merchandising teams to foster growth and accountability.
