Job summary

BDA is seeking a merchandise planning professional to optimize inventory, budgeting, and open-to-buy strategies for sports merchandise. Based in Woodinville, WA, this onsite role collaborates with merchandising, supply chain, and retail operations to ensure on-shelf availability and optimal stock levels.

You will analyze sales trends, manage allocations with vendors, and support financial planning to maximize profitability while maintaining strong vendor partnerships and in-season responsiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• 3+ years in retail planning, merchandise planning, allocation, inventory management, or related analytical retail function.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage sales, inventory, and receipt budgets at subcategory and vendor level.
• Maintain Open-to-Buy (OTB) plans and monitor sales, receipts, inventory levels and productivity against objectives.
• Produce and analyze recurring sales and inventory reports, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide inventory and financial recommendations to support sales, margin, and profitability goals.
• Contribute to annual and in-season financial planning.
