Living Spaces Furniture in La Mirada, CA is seeking a Senior Merchandise Planner to drive sales, profitability, and inventory efficiency across the assortment. You will partner with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to develop plans, forecast demand, and optimize inventory investments.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision-making, open-to-buy management, and collaboration across merchandising, stores, marketing, and operations to support S&OP processes and improve forecasting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in merchandising or business-related field; 7+ years in retail merchandise planning.
• Strong ability to objectively interpret data and extract actionable insights.
• Proficiency in retail math and experience with open-to-buy planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-season merchandise planning and open-to-buy management to achieve sales, margin, inventory turn, and GMROI goals.
• Develop and maintain merchandise plans, SKU forecasts, and inventory strategies using historical performance and market insights.
• Analyze product, pricing, and inventory performance to identify trends and adjust plans accordingly.
• Drive AI and automation initiatives across merchandise planning to improve forecasting accuracy and reduce manual effort.
• Lead category expansion and sourcing initiatives to improve product availability and cost efficiency.
• Develop scenario-based forecasts and risk mitigation plans for peak demand and market fluctuations.
• Monitor category performance and deliver actionable insights through regular reporting.
• Facilitate weekly and monthly business reviews with cross-functional partners.
