Job summary

Vistar is seeking a Senior Merchandising Analyst to partner with Purchasing, driving process execution, SOPs, and promotional inventory programs. You will train staff, develop materials, and coordinate improvements across Sales, Inventory Management, and Suppliers.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of merchandising analytics experience, strong data translation skills, and proficiency with Excel and BI tools. This role emphasizes data-driven decisions and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in merchandising analytics, retail analytics, or related role.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication abilities.
• Ability to translate data into clear actionable insights.
• Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and training for new team members and develop training materials.
• Create, maintain, and enhance SOPs, job aids, and process docs.
• Lead training sessions for Sales and partners on purchasing processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and communication.
• Coordinate and manage multiple projects with tracking of priorities and deliverables.
• Manage promotional inventory purchases with Sales and Suppliers.
• Monitor inventory status, risks, and readiness for promotions.
• Use reporting and data analysis to identify trends and inform decisions.
• Ensure data integrity in departmental documentation and reporting.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external partners, delivering high service.
