Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Senior Superintendent to lead field coordination, quality control and daily supervision of subcontracted work on construction projects. You will ensure safety standards, oversee subcontractors, and coordinate with project leaders on progress and planning.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of field experience on commercial projects with supervisory responsibilities and strong communication and organizational skills to drive on-time, on-budget outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field experience on commercial projects.
• Supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and teamwork abilities.
• Experience coordinating subcontracted work and managing field crews.

Responsibilities

• Prepares project schedule and maintains status reports.
• Oversees field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted forces.
• Reviews progress with Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis.
• Enforces safety standards for craftsmen and equipment operation.
• Directs subcontractor activities within projects.
• Analyzes manpower, material, and equipment needs and interfaces with supervisors.
• Implements policies, procedures and work rules established by field management.
• Prepares reports/forecasts and keeps leadership informed on progress.
