Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent for our Herndon, VA project. This full-time, in-person role requires leading all MEP activities from pre-construction to close-out, guiding subcontractors and vendors, and maintaining project schedules.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in commercial construction with large MEP systems and strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines, plus excellent leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience with large MEP systems.
• Proven ability to manage complex MEP infrastructure projects such as data centers or stadiums.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and commissioning protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all MEP activities from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out.
• Provide direct supervision to MEP subcontractors and vendors across multiple disciplines.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for MEP systems and monitor progress.
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC programs and support safety initiatives to maintain a zero-accident culture.
• Manage punch lists, troubleshoot issues, and drive timely resolutions.
• Oversee startup and commissioning activities and ensure system performance.
