Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking an MEP Superintendent for projects in Herndon, VA and surrounding areas (Manassas, Ashburn, Richmond, Culpeper). This full-time, in-person role leads all MEP activities from pre-construction through commissioning, supervising subcontractors and coordinating with owners, architects, and engineers.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of commercial construction experience with large MEP systems and strong knowledge of commissioning protocols, QA/QC, and safety

Qualifications

• 15+ years of commercial construction experience with large MEP systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and commissioning.
• Proven ability to manage complex MEP infrastructure projects (data centers, stadiums, or similar).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all MEP activities from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out.
• Supervise MEP subcontractors and vendors (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, major equipment, lighting, fire alarm, security).
• Develop and maintain detailed MEP schedules and monitor progress.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence and support safety and energy control programs.
• Oversee start-up and commissioning activities and ensure performance requirements.
• Maintain relationships with owner, architects, engineers, and clients.
