Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead pre-construction through commissioning for projects in Herndon, VA; Manassas, VA; Ashburn, VA; Richmond, VA; Culpeper, VA. This full-time, in-person role requires guiding MEP subcontractors and coordinating with owners and engineers on complex facilities.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years of commercial construction with sophisticated MEP systems and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to maintain

Qualifications

• 15+ years of commercial construction experience with large MEP systems.
• Proven ability to manage complex MEP infrastructure projects such as data centers, stadiums, or special-use facilities.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and commissioning protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all MEP activities from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out.
• Provide supervision to MEP subcontractors and vendors for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.
• Develop and maintain detailed MEP project schedules; monitor progress and apply corrective actions.
• Ensure QA/QC compliance and support energy control and safety programs.
• Manage punch lists, troubleshoot and drive timely resolutions.
• Oversee start-up and commissioning activities to meet performance requirements.
• Maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and clients while supervising subcontractors.
