Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong focus on electrical engineering for the Irvine, CA MEPT team. This in-office role requires 10+ years delivering building electrical design for infrastructure projects and mentoring staff.

You’ll lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate with architects and contractors, and drive proposals while ensuring code compliance and client satisfaction throughout all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in building electrical systems design.
• PE license required.
• Experience designing for data centers, healthcare, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and coordination of electrical systems for buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Direct multi-disciplinary teams and ensure integration of MEPT systems.
• Serve as primary client contact across project phases.
• Provide advanced electrical analyses and ensure code compliance.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and resources for timely delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff, promoting technical excellence.
• Identify opportunities for new work and contribute to proposals.
• Ensure designs meet codes and client requirements.
• Collaborate with architects and contractors to optimize building systems designs.
