Job summary

Metcon, Inc. is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager – MEP to oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing estimating for commercial projects in Raleigh, North Carolina. This leadership position requires extensive experience in managing all phases of preconstruction, mentoring staff, and ensuring precise proposal accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have a background in construction management or engineering, with strong leadership and detailed analytical skills to manage complex projects and ensure timely coordination throughout the preconstruction phases.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in commercial construction focusing on MEP estimating.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee MEP preconstruction efforts for commercial projects.
• Prepare and manage accurate conceptual budgets and detailed estimates for MEP systems.
• Lead the prequalification and selection of MEP subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain preconstruction schedules incorporating design milestones.
