Schnackel Engineers, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical MEP Engineer to design, analyze, and implement mechanical systems for commercial and residential projects in the Miami area.

The role involves load calculations, equipment selection, and developing system layouts with detailed drawings and specifications. Ideal candidates have an accredited architectural engineering degree with a mechanical emphasis or a mechanical engineering degree, 3+ years of MEP design experience, and strong

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in Architectural Engineering with a Mechanical emphasis or Mechanical Engineering degree.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience with an MEP engineering consultant.
• Advanced proficiency with Building, Mechanical, and Energy Codes.
• Professional Engineer (PE) credentials in Mechanical Engineering or ability to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with client, design team, and consultants to maintain a fully coordinated interdisciplinary design and schedule.
• Participate in meetings and conference calls with clients and internal team.
• Use AutoCAD/Revit to create mechanical construction document packages with plans, equipment, ductwork, piping, and specifications.
• Perform load calculations, ductwork and pipe sizing, and other calculations to support the mechanical design.
• Coordinate with equipment vendors and manufacturers for selection and specification of equipment.
