Job summary

Meade seeks an experienced Mechanical Designer III to join our mechanical design team on data centers, industrial buildings, offices and other high-profile projects. The role emphasizes collaboration with staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines.

You will design and document mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit, develop HVAC layouts, perform load calculations, and ensure codes and sustainability requirements are met through energy‑efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in MEP mechanical design.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with HVAC design software and Revit/AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes, standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support design and documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit for diverse projects.
• Develop detailed HVAC and plumbing layouts within Revit, including ductwork, piping, and equipment placement.
• Perform load analyses, equipment sizing, and system performance optimization.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical and structural engineers for integrated designs.
• Write and edit mechanical equipment specifications; select systems and devices with energy efficiency in mind.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and assist with record drawings and site visits.
