Job summary

McGough Construction seeks an Estimator II to support project teams from concept to award, including expenses for MEp estimates, bid coordination, and schedule input. The role involves reading specs, performing takeoffs, and maintaining vendor relationships to ensure accurate, timely estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project specifications and plans to prepare quantity surveys.
• Perform conceptual estimating from preliminary project parameters.
• Prepare project estimates including self-performed and subcontracted work.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, design teams and scheduling for accurate estimates.
• Assist with cost reviews and change orders as requested by project management.
