Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer in Cleveland, OH, to lead the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects. You will ensure code-compliant, practical MEP designs while coordinating with architecture, construction teams, and clients.

This role focuses on BIM coordination, system design across HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical disciplines, and mentoring junior staff throughout project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of MEP design/construction experience in commercial/industrial projects.
• PE license preferred; EIT or PE pursuit considered.
• Proficiency in Revit (BIM) and AutoCAD.
• Strong HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, and controls knowledge.
• Experience with plumbing, fire protection, and electrical coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP design and coordination for commercial, industrial, and ground-up projects.
• Prepare and review calculations, equipment selections, layouts, and documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Design HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems per codes and client needs.
• Coordinate BIM/Revit models with architects and other disciplines to resolve clashes.
• Develop specifications, bid packages, and scope documents; review submittals.
• Provide construction support, site visits, contractor coordination, and RFIs/field issue resolution.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, costs, and change orders with project teams.
• Support commissioning and startup activities to validate system performance.
• Mentor junior staff, perform QA/QC reviews, and provide technical guidance.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders; prepare reports and presentations.
