Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission in Austin, TX seeks an experienced MEP Engineer (Engineer V) to perform senior mechanical, electrical, and plumbing reviews for state facilities. You will oversee design reviews, coordinate with architects and contractors, and provide solutions for complex building systems. Qualifications

Certification as a Texas licensed architect or engineer.
Minimum of three years’ experience designing mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems.
Experience in reviewing project documents.
Experience with on-site inspections preferred.
Experience with healthcare or nonprofit projects preferred.

Responsibilities

Review blueprints, drawings, and specs for MEP systems to ensure code compliance.
Provide technical analysis of designs and materials for acceptability to engineers and contractors.
Evaluate engineering proposals for complete scope and reasonable cost.
Assist maintenance teams with MEP/HVAC issues and develop repair plans.
Maintain on-call availability for technical guidance and incident resolution.
