JOB DESCRIPTION
- Our client is a locally owned and highly respected engineering company in Austin that is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer PE / PM with HVAC and/or plumbing design experience to their growing team.
- This is a full‑time, direct hire position at an outstanding company in a great location with generous compensation, benefits, bonus/401K, and PTO programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Calculate, design, and generate AutoCAD and/or Revit files and construction documents to support MEP engineering needs for a variety of building types (commercial office, K-12 schools, municipal buildings, healthcareamily, etc.), especially in the area of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
- Project‑management responsibilities on both small and large projects, establishing schedules, assigning resources, monitoring performance, and keeping project on time and on budget.
- Maintain and organize all mechanical engineering related schedules, along with any associated general project documents.
- Provide review of mechanical design submittals and go into the field as needed to address any issues, conflicts, questions that may arise.
- Generate and present project status updates as needed to a variety of internal and external audiences.
- Work toward developing new business with existing and new clients through building relationships.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Hiring Companies ATS Questions)
- Do you have a Mechanical Engineer degree with a PE license (Professional Engineer)?
- Do you have experience with HVAC and/or plumbing design work on project types that include Commercial office, multifamily, K-12 schools, municipal buildings, healthcare, etc.?
- Do you have experience with Revit as the main CAD system required?
- Do you have AutoCAD experience?
- Do you have Project management experience? (Nice to have)
- Do you have experienced user of Revit, AutoCAD is less desirable. (Nice to have)
- Do you have experience with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster? (Nice to have)
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
