Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our MEP team on a project in Mount Prospect, IL. This full-time, in-person position involves communication with vendors, procurement of contracts, and project management.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, at least 5 years of preconstruction experience, and the ability to read various plans. A strong focus will be on effective coordination in commercial projects, contributing to our performance-driven culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing preconstruction experience.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, HVAC, plumbing, architectural, and civil plans.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with vendors, design engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Procure electrical and mechanical subcontracts and equipment.
• Coordinate equipment submittals and assist with construction cost estimates.
• Support commercial projects ensuring effective coordination.
