Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Chattanooga, TN, seeks an experienced electrical designer to develop plant design drawings, cable tray, and raceway in a 3D model using AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit.

Under the direction of the Electrical Project Lead, you will lead design teams, resolve 3D clashes, and produce deliverables while mentoring junior drafters. This hybrid role requires in-office presence three days weekly.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of detailed electrical plant design experience.
• Proficiency with 3D plant layout models and raceway design.
• Ability to lead design teams and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Experience reviewing vendor drawings and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical design activities for 3D plant models.
• Develop electrical deliverables, BOMs, and catalogs.
• Resolve clashes in the 3D model and report status to leadership.
• Mentor and guide junior drafters and designers.
• Interface with IT and design teams to ensure templates and catalogs are accurate.
