Job summary

AMPAM Parks Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer to lead MEP design for multi‑family new construction projects in California. Responsibilities include producing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical designs, creating construction documents, and coordinating with architecture and other engineering disciplines.

The role offers a path from Design Engineer I to III with opportunities to mentor junior staff and contribute to design standards within a growing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with Navisworks, Bluebeam or BIM 360 preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical system design.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations with accuracy.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across stakeholders.
• Organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for MEP systems from concept through construction documents.
• Prepare calculations for loads, ventilation, and electrical loads.
• Create and review drawings and specifications in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other disciplines.
• Support project delivery from design through construction and QA/QC.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design standards.
