Job summary

Power Construction, LLC in Chicago seeks an experienced MEP Manager to lead design-phase activities for the electrical scope across multiple projects.

You will oversee electrical system evaluation, cost analysis, trade partner selection, and integration of 3D/4D modeling into preconstruction planning, ensuring owner’s vision becomes technical solutions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years of experience; competitive salary and discretionary bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of construction or pre-construction experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem solving, initiative, and teamwork skills.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution and controls.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA, IBC, IMC, IFC, and energy codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design-phase activities for MEP scope with emphasis on electrical systems.
• Review electrical designs for sizing, interface coordination, and constructability.
• Lead integrated project team meetings and coordinate across disciplines.
• Support budget, schedule, and owner-vision alignment throughout design.
