Senior MEP Commissioning Engineer
San Mateo, CA | On-Site / Hybrid | $125,000 - $160,000 /yr | Full-Time

A well established and growing MEP consulting and engineering firm with a multi decade track record across California is hiring a Commissioning Engineer to join their growing Cx team. This is a team that cares about their people and takes pride in delivering premium service on some of the region's most impactful education, healthcare, and lab projects.

What You'll Do:

• Support all phases of commissioning, from design reviews to controls design, site observation, and system testing
• Manage commissioning projects across education, research, healthcare, and office/lab clients
• Review construction documents and specifications for Cx compliance
• Conduct site visits and coordinate testing on active construction sites
• Partner with design teams, contractors, and owners to ensure systems perform as intended
• Document findings and track issues through resolution

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of experience as a Cx Engineer, MEP Consultant, or Design Engineer (significant additional experience considered in place of degree/certification)
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
• Commissioning Certification a plus
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam Review
• Working knowledge of California Energy Code and ASHRAE Cx/energy standards
• Comfort navigating active construction sites and a passion for sustainable, high-performance buildings
