Job summary

Stratus® in Holland, Michigan is seeking a Design Specialist I – Mechanical Engineering (MEP) to oversee mechanical system designs for various building projects. This senior-level role demands expertise in BIM/CAD modeling, teamwork across multi-disciplinary teams, and the mentorship of junior designers.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in CAD/BIM design focused on mechanical or MEP systems.
• Experience producing mechanical construction documents.
• Proficiency in MEP-focused design tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical 2D and 3D CAD/BIM models.
• Lead coordination across MEP disciplines.
• Perform quality control reviews of mechanical drawings and models.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers.
• Mentor junior designers on mechanical drafting standards.
