Job summary

New Communities in Maine is seeking a Senior Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician to oversee and administer medications for adults with persistent mental health challenges in a residential setting. The MHRT provides support, acts as a role model, and helps clients maintain independence with personal care and community activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or over.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• 40-hour CRMA
• Three years’ direct care experience and medication administration preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers whose primary language is English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the client medication.
• Administer medication.
• Assist with personal care.
• Inspire clients to be as independent as possible, both at home and in the community.
• Attend and promote recreational and social outings and activities for clients.
• Transport clients using New Communities company vehicles.
