Job summary

The Mental Health Therapist II-School position is based in the Anchorage school district, teaching and supporting student health from August to May with summers off. It is a full-time 1.0 FTE role with standard school hours (40 hours/week) and integration with the Providence clinical team.

Requires a master's degree in a health-related field and Alaska licensure (MSW/LCSW, psychologist, LMFT, or LPC) upon hire, plus at least five years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or health-related field.
• Alaska licensure upon hire: MSW/LCSW, psychologist, LMFT, or LPC.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health/substance use assessments and treatment planning.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy; crisis intervention and risk assessment.
• Provide education, case management, and consultation to school staff.
• Collaborate with Providence clinical team to support school health and wellness.
• Support and supervise Mental Health Therapist II.

The School program positions are based on a 10-months working schedule in the local Anchorage school district from August to May, and will have June and July months off.

Position hours are Full time, 1.0 FTE, Variable shift, Monday-Friday, standard school hours, 40 hours per week.

The Mental Health Therapist II-School position is integrated into a school environment and partners with the Providence clinical team and school personnel to impact the overall health and wellness of the school population. The Mental Health Therapist II provides clinical services including but not limited to mental health/substance use assessments, treatment planning, individual, group, and family therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention, risk assessment, education, and case management. The therapist also provides education, support, and consultation services to the academic team. Provides support, education, and guidance to the Mental Health Therapist II.

Required Qualifications:
