Job summary

Providence Health & Services in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Mental Health Therapist II–School to join our Providence Crisis Recovery Center team. This role is integrated into a school environment, working 40 hours per week on a 10-month schedule from August to May with June and July off.

You will provide clinical services including assessments, treatment planning, individual/group/family therapy, crisis intervention, risk assessment, education, and case management, while supporting academic staff

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or health related field.
• Alaska Masters Social Worker License or Alaska Clinical Social Worker License or Alaska Psychologist License or Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License or Alaska Professional Counselor License.
• 5 years clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical services including mental health/substance use assessments, treatment planning, individual, group, and family therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention, risk assessment, education, and case management.
• Provides education, support, and consultation to the academic team.
• Supports and guidance to the Mental Health Therapist II.

The School program positions are based on a 10-months working schedule in the local Anchorage school district from August to May, and will have June and July months off.

Position hours are Full time, 1.0 FTE, Variable shift, Monday-Friday, standard school hours, 40 hours per week.

The Mental Health Therapist II-School position is integrated into a school environment and partners with the Providence clinical team and school personnel to impact the overall health and wellness of the school population. The Mental Health Therapist II provides clinical services including but not limited to mental health/substance use assessments, treatment planning, individual, group, and family therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention, risk assessment, education, and case management. The therapist also provides education, support, and consultation services to the academic team. Provides support, education, and guidance to the Mental Health Therapist II.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $40.11 - $62.27
