Job summary

Providence is opening a Walk-In Behavioral Health Clinic in Anchorage. The Senior Mental Health Counselor will provide counseling, education, and case management to clients in structured programs, within a multidisciplinary team.

The role supports leadership in program development and maintains group curricula, while exemplifying Providence Core Values. Licensed professionals (Alaska licensure or recognized equivalents) with a Master's degree and at least 5 years of clinical experience are

Schedule: Monday-Friday Day shift

This role will be supporting a new Walk-In Behavioral Health Clinic in Anchorage.

The Senior Mental Health Counselor is responsible for providing counseling, education and case management to clients assigned in structured programs of the Walk-In clinic as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Assists leadership in the develop and maintenance of program processes and group curriculum. The Senior Mental Health Counselor demonstrates advanced clinical skills and serves as a resource for other clinicians and exemplifies the Providence Core Values.

Required qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or health related field.
• Upon hire: Alaska Masters Social Worker License. Or
• Upon hire: Alaska Clinical Social Worker License. Or
• Upon hire: Alaska Psychologist License. Or
• Upon hire: Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License. Or
• Upon hire: Alaska Professional Counselor License.
• Upon hire: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
• 5 years clinical experience
