Job summary

Providence Health & Services in Anchorage is seeking a Senior Mental Health Counselor to join a new Walk-In Behavioral Health Clinic. You will deliver counseling, education and case management within a structured program as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires licensure in Alaska (Social Work/Professional Counselors/Clinical Social Work), a Master’s degree in a related field, and at least 5 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field is required.
  • Alaska licenses required upon hire (LW).

Responsibilities

  • Provide counseling, education and case management to clients in structured programs of the Walk-In clinic.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and assist in developing program processes and group curricula.

This role will be supporting a new Walk-In Behavioral Health Clinic in Anchorage.

The Senior Mental Health Counselor is responsible for providing counseling, education and case management to clients assigned in structured programs of the Walk-In clinic as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Assists leadership in the develop and maintenance of program processes and group curriculum. The Senior Mental Health Counselor demonstrates advanced clinical skills and serves as a resource for other clinicians and exemplifies the Providence Core Values.

Required qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or health related field.
  • Upon hire: Alaska Masters Social Worker License. Or
  • Upon hire: Alaska Clinical Social Worker License. Or
  • Upon hire: Alaska Psychologist License. Or
  • Upon hire: Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License. Or

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
