Job summary

Surf Search Inc. seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer (or Senior) to join a product development team dedicated to medical devices across the full lifecycle. You will design, develop, test and support hardware and embedded firmware in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 5–10 years in regulated product development, with strong circuit design, PCB tools, and technical writing skills. Regulatory familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 约5–10 years of electrical engineering experience in a regulated product development environment.
• Experience designing, programming, testing, and supporting microcontroller-based hardware and embedded firmware.
• Strong analog and digital circuit design, debugging and troubleshooting.
• Experience with PCB design software such as Altium, Allegro, OrCAD or similar.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Background in medical device development under FDA and international quality system regulations (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support hardware and embedded firmware for medical device products.
• Provide engineering support for commercially released products, including troubleshooting and sustaining activities.
• Investigate production and field issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead or support verification and validation activities for new and existing products.
• Support transfer of new products from development into manufacturing, including documentation, test procedures, and production tooling.
• Develop and maintain automated manufacturing test systems where applicable.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, regulatory and engineering teams to ensure successful product development and support.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including schematics, drawings, specifications, test protocols and design records.
• Ensure product development activities comply with regulatory and quality system requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and other engineering projects.
