Job summary

Nurix Therapeutics, The Woodlands, TX, seeks a Senior/Principal Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry to design and synthesize degrader-based compounds with potency, selectivity, and PK in mind. You will work closely with computational and structural biology teams and contribute to patent, report and publication writing.

Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry with 8–10+ years in pharma medicinal chemistry, a track record delivering leads, and strong mentorship and leadership

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry with 8–10+ years in pharma medicinal chemistry.
• Track record delivering advanced leads and development candidates.
• Strong medicinal chemistry fundamentals with ADME and SAR knowledge.
• Experience with protein-ligand interactions and structural analysis.
• Leadership in cross-functional teams and project leadership.
• Ability to guide discovery decisions from data and literature.

Responsibilities

• Design and synthesize novel chemical entities for potency and PK optimization.
• Lead process improvements within the chemistry department.
• Collaborate with computational and structural biology groups.
• Contribute to patent filings, reports and publications.
• Mentor and develop junior scientists.
